Since its founding in 1979, De Kikkert has been a renowned concept in the region for over 44 years and offers a unique sailing experience in an authentic environment. Directly on the water you will find our spacious terrace, located on the west and therefore offering the perfect setting for the most beautiful sunsets. Enjoy a relaxing moment by the water, where peace and nature come together. This terrace is the ideal place to relax after a day full of sailing fun and share experiences.
Discover our 21 comfortable bedrooms, each with a view of the Frisian nature and equipped with its own shower and toilet. At De Kikkert we offer more than just a stay; with sports fields, tennis courts and various water sports activities there is always something to do. For more business purposes we also have a conference room available, fully equipped with a beamer and whiteboards. This room offers a professional environment for meetings, presentations and other business meetings.
Sustainability is of paramount importance at De Kikkert. Our location is powered by 200 solar panels, so we are doing our part for a greener future. In addition, we have a water purification system that converts groundwater into clean drinking water. In combination with our sceptic tank, which purifies dirty water with the help of bacteria and returns the purified water to nature, we strive for a sustainable and ecologically responsible environment. This way our guests can not only enjoy an unforgettable experience, but also contribute to a healthier planet.
The central room, suitable for 150 people, is perfect for joint meals and transforms into a bustling party room in the evening. Thanks to its location on the water, it is the ideal starting location for a day full of sailing fun. Our cozy indoor bar guarantees atmospheric evenings.
