Information training.
The instructor training at De Kikkert, where your enthusiasm for sailing is converted into skills to give new students the best week of the year. After the fantastic sailing camps you have experienced at De Kikkert yourself, you may be eager to be part of our instructor team.
The instructor training consists of two essential parts, which not only sharpen your sailing skills, but also teach you how to effectively pass on this knowledge to others. Both must be successfully completed to become an instructor.
Self-competence training.
This first part of the training is aimed at refining your theoretical and practical sailing skills. Our experienced trainers will take your performance to the level of an instructor, so that you can go into the water with confidence. Both theory and practice are tested through an exam during the week.
Didactic training.
In the second part of the training we focus on teaching. Under supervision you will learn how to convey your passion for sailing to young children. This includes leading groups, effective communication with children and developing teamwork skills. This takes place during the Easter or Pentecost weekends and during the weekend we will look together to see if being an instructor is something for you.
