10-12 years: Brulkikkers
The Brulkikkers; where we offer a special sailing experience for the age group of 10-12 years. In this phase of development, we focus on learning to sail in a playful way, while also working towards obtaining the sailing diploma. Our lessons, which are aimed at creating independence on the water and safely getting from A to B, also offer the necessary challenge to stimulate the kids and further develop their skills.
Safety first.
By using new material, the right sailing clothing, calm water and an instructor nearby, we keep it safe at all times.
Playfully working towards a diploma.
We believe in a lesson format in which fun and creating confidence on the water are paramount.
More than an instructor.
In addition to sailing, our staff members provide 24/7 guidance for your child, in which the personal growth of the student, both socially and on the water, is central.
Communication.
We provide daily photo and video updates. We are available 24/7 for questions.
Food & Beverage.
Every day we provide freshly prepared and varied meals. We ensure that everyone eats enough and healthily. We also take into account all diets and allergies at no extra cost.
Program and activities.
In addition to sailing, we have great evening programs and external activities, tailored to the age and life stage of the group.
In addition to the fascinating sailing lessons, we offer an evening program and games that perfectly match children in the upper classes of primary school. At Zeilschool De Kikkert we believe in stimulating independence in our children. They not only learn the basic skills of sailing, but are also encouraged to take responsibility during their sailing camp. This means, among other things, contributing to the cleaning up of the sailing equipment, learning to work together as a group and helping each other. We strive for a sailing camp in which young sailors not only face challenges during the sailing lessons, but also develop important life skills by spending a week intensively with peers and being 'independent' on holiday. In addition, we want our students to enjoy the water in all possible forms. Our experienced team is always ready to guide and support, so that a safe and familiar environment is provided for an unforgettable sailing camp.
A day in the age group 10-12 years.
A sailing camp at Zeilschool De Kikkert for the brulkikkers (10-12 years) promises to be an exciting and educational experience! The day starts with enjoying a fresh breakfast together, where the whole group prepares for a day full of sailing fun. Then it's time to change clothes and pack your sailing gear. In your own group, accompanied by an instructor, you will go out on the water for a morning full of fun sailing lessons.
The morning and afternoon are all about sailing, where you will learn the ins and outs of handling your boat with your group. Compared to the younger sailors (6-9 years old), as a brulkikker you get the chance to sail longer, so you can develop even more skills and enjoy the water even more.
After an active day on the water, a delicious, fresh dinner is waiting for you. Our kitchen ensures that you get all the necessary energy to end the day well. The evening program is specially tailored to the brulkikkers, with activities and games that fit the age group. And when the youngest kids go to bed, you can stay up a little longer. But you can't tell anyone, okay?
Our boats for you.
For young sailors, both beginners and more experienced sailors, we have the perfect selection of boats. If you are new, the Optimist offers an ideal solo sailing experience, while the Laerling is suitable for duo adventures.
